a hard rain last night,
washed the heavy pollens onto the sidewalks
as i walked it looked as if van Gogh had emptied his excess paints
vivid yellow,
vibrant pinks,
soft whites,
such beauty on the grimy wet pavement..
i guess we can pave the world,
but God will still wield His paintbrush with abandon..
