It is the saints who know they are sinners.---Fr. Robert Barron, from "The Strangest Way"
When Saints are mentioned in modern culture, they are usually portrayed as milk toast goody goodies without any dimension whatsoever. HA! When you start studying the Saints, you find something very wonderful, they are incredibly human. In fact, the holier they became, the more human, the more loving, forgiving and devoted they became. They come from every background imaginable. They are artist, teachers, mothers, priests, soldiers, etc... If you want to read incredible stories, read about St. Augustine, St. Catherine of Sienna, or St. Francis. Every believer should have one goal, to be a Saint. The early Fathers of the Church described a Saint this way, " A friend of God." Desire more than anything to be His friend. This may cause confusion to your family and friends at times, in fact, you will be confused at times, but in the end you will help many souls find Jesus.
