Not our stranger

it is cool here this morning
had to wear a jacket on the walk
Jack chased squirrels with utter abandon
the air felt fresh
sound carries differently
the crows were telling jokes and laughing..
drunk on the cool currents of Autumn's tease,
unable to contain their giddiness for the approaching season
this is grace given if i will open my heart and eyes to see it,
i heard a soldier say grace even falls during battle,
 on everyone,
enemy and enemy alike
our wounded Lover felt the seasons change,
walking barefoot on a fall morning..
He knows what crows sound like in the crisp cool dawn,
He knows about grace falling amidst turmoil..
this is why hope is not our stranger.
