Fire

so the fire burns
the embers glow
eternal flame
unquenchable
His fire of love
burns away our fear
our anxiety
our nagging worry
our tendency to sin
but we must step into the flame
we must draw near to the heat
through confession
eating His Body
drinking His Blood
He said this is the way we abide
faith allows us to do so
for without faith it is impossible to please Him,
our consuming Lord of fire,
He came to bring fire to the earth
Come Holy Spirit!
