Hello,

I just finished watching The Journey Home episode you were on.
It was very inspiring. I'm not a convert from another denomination, but a convert within my catholic faith. Journey Home is a program that has meant alot to me over the past year or so, and your testimony, is one of the best I've heard.
Some of the things you shared, blew me away, as for example what you tell people who are asked if they are saved, and your thoughts on seemingly vain repetitious prayer. Can you share your thoughts again on these two.

Finally, what sacramental medals did you wear on the show? I also wear them, with a Bendictine Medal, as a a reminder to me of the spiritual dimension that is always there, and as a possible witness to others.

Best Wishes,
FJD, a Canadian admirer, who will shortly purchase your music.
PS.Do the wrist bands also have a spiritual dimension?

Mr. Moore, thank you for sharing your story tonight, I am so inspired by your search for truth and openness to letting God guide your journey through life. I was just recently asked by a protestant friend "when do you know that you are saved?" and I was a bit baffled. It was good to hear your response to that tonight. God bless and take care!

Hello my brother from Canada, regarding the "Saved" comment, I have many protestant brothers and sisters who challenged me often with "salvation" when I was on my journey Home to the Church. I prayed and sought through the Cathecism and the Bible how to best answer them. After much prayer and seeking, one day it seemed very clear that our being "saved" is not a one time moment, it is an ever moving, living, and breathing happening. His salvation to us is a gift, and we can refuse it. But He never stops reaching out to us to dive deeper and deeper into this gift. I hope that helps.

A protestant is taught, based a worng interpretation of Jesus saying, "..like thos who use vein repetitious prayers" in referring to the pharisees, that we should not pray reptitious prayers at all. I realized while learning to say the Jesus Prayer that this is not the case. The more I said and say the prayer, the more I want to be love our Lord. This really woke me up and started my journey away from protestantism. This simple little thing started the ball rolling. THANK GOD!

The medals are there to remind me that i am loved constantly by the Father. I am a needy soul. One is St. Pio, who is very close to me on his choosing.( A story I will tell you one day), one is our Lady 's miraculous medal, One is St. Joseph, our teacher and friend, One is the Holy Family Cross that says on the back, "I am Catholic call a priest." They are simple and powerful reminders that I am not alone.

The bracelet with the black knots is a Jesus Prayer bracelet worn by Eastern Rite Catholics and Greek Orthodox Christians.
The leather bracelet is a friendship bracelet given to me by a guy here in our parish.

Thanks for asking bro, and welcome back!
In Jesus,
k
