God is waiting for us.

God's waiting for us.--Henri J.M. Nouwen

We must understand something. There is one act that all living things experience, waiting. It starts with creation itself. St. Paul said, "All of creation longs for the sons of men to be revealed." Trees, animals, insects, the planets, dirt, humans, good or bad, everything and everyone is waiting for renewal. Even God is waiting. Let this sink in for a moment, selah......... God waits for us. We wait for God. We need prayers answered, miracles, direction, signs, grace, hope, love, etc.. He waits for us to call upon Him with a broken and contrite heart. He waits because much of the time our hearts are hardened by self loathing, pain, fear, and doubt. I know this well. He showers grace on everyone, waiting for hearts to break and turn to Him. And this is not about salvation alone, it is also about sanctification. Our journey with God is tumultuous, bizarre, and great. Sometimes, all we can do is yearn for a change of heart. ..., hallelujah.
