The Whole of the Moon

I saw the crescent, but You saw the whole of the moon.--Mike Scott, from the Waterboy's "This is the Sea" album

What would we see if we saw the world through Jesus' eyes? Jesus sees through the facade of the times. He sees through our spiritual pride and our fears. Jesus sees beyond our false ideas of self.  Scripture says that He knows the heart of man. What did He see when He saw a sunset? Did He laugh at puppies playing? When He saw suffering, did He feel pity for those going through it, or did He feel something beyond pity? He saw everything perfectly. He saw with the eyes of wisdom, patience, hope, and love. When we see a sunset or someone suffering, we see it as through a glass dimly. We do not know one anothers hearts, we don't even know our own. The reality of our world is not beyond our Lord's vision. What you and I go through everyday is known by our Beloved, and knowing that He sees it as it truly is, should bring us courage to trust Him. In this, we can pray and ask Him daily to let us see ourselves, things, and  people around us with His loving eyes of truth.
